| Thomas Schendel Actor • Voice Actor • Acting Teacher Every actor starts somewhere. For me, it wasn’t a spotlight or a grand stage — it was a simple question: What happens when we dare to express ourselves fully? That question carried me far. From Germany to Los Angeles, where I trained at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. From small rehearsal rooms to the ancient amphitheater of Kourion, performing Shakespeare under the open sky. From local commercials in Cyprus to international film sets filled with early call-times, late-night laughs, and the beautiful chaos of storytelling. Along the way, I realised something meaningful: Acting isn’t just a profession. It’s a way of understanding people — starting with yourself. And that’s why I teach. In my classes, we explore presence, playfulness, courage, and the fun of not taking ourselves too seriously. We’ll work with voice, movement, imagination — but above all, we’ll work with honesty. And yes, there will be moments of challenge, and probably moments of laughter too. Both are welcome. Living in Paphos has shown me how creative this community is — how many people quietly dream of stepping onto a stage, expressing themselves more freely, or simply trying something new. If that’s you, consider this your invitation. The GoDar Theatre Studio has created a space where beginners feel safe, returning actors feel inspired, and everyone feels seen. You don’t need experience. Just curiosity. And maybe a little courage — but don’t worry, we’ll find that together. If you feel a spark while reading this, follow it. That’s often how the best stories begin. |
